John F. Dobbin (b. May 1, 1912-d. July 29, 1995, Winter Park, Fla.), brigadier general in the U.S. Marine Corps, served in World War II and in the Korean War. As a Lieutenant Colonel during World War II, he was credited with 7.5 victories while flying with the Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 and received the Navy Cross for aerial combat over Guadalcanal on September 14, 1942.
